Our most recent enhancements will benefit MuchLoved tribute owners as well as our partners in the funeral industry.
Your families want to know that donations have been paid to their chosen charity. They can now check the payment status at any time using the simple icons on their My Donations page. These show whether each donation has been paid, when it was paid, payment is pending, or not applicable (for an offline donation).
We’ve also added some text to remind tribute owners that payments to charities are made around the 15th of the month after the donation was received.
When you assign a tribute owner, and ‘hand over’ the page to the family, they can develop it into a lasting tribute page. This also means that their contact details are passed to the charity through their MuchLoved account. We encourage charities to acknowledge donations, as we know it means such a lot to bereaved families, but they can only do this when there is a tribute owner or donations contact.
Following feedback from several funeral directors, we have updated the funeral notice so that the Service, Committal and Reception appear in chronological order.
The default order remains Service, Committal and then Reception, but they will be reordered by date and/or time. If, for instance, the Committal is before the Service, the Committal will appear first.
Many of our users access tribute pages on their mobile. Tribute owners and families can carry memories of their loved ones with them wherever they go. Funeral attendees can make a donation straight after the service. And friends and family can post a thought or light a candle anytime, anywhere.
We have improved how MuchLoved tributes appear on mobile, so visitors get a great view whatever device they are using. In line with best practice for mobile design, the header is now fixed so it remains in place as you scroll, and the three-line menu has moved into the header. It’s now easier to return to the home page either by clicking on Home in the menu or clicking on the header banner.
