Southern Co-op had hundreds of tributes created and over £20,000 raised for charities within just a few weeks of launching.
Southern Co-op chose MuchLoved’s service to facilitate their new online Funeral Notice and Donations service because the service fully integrates into their website, allows donations to any UK charities, even down to a particular hospital ward and offers the lowest donation processing cost.

"We have recently redeveloped our Southern Co-operative Funeralcare website to provide our clients with additional services and useful information, guiding them through tough times and difficult decisions in an easy-to-use format. The site has an up to date clean, modern, uncomplicated feel - providing all of the information users need to know about arranging a funeral, what to do after someone dies and bereavement support easily accessible at the click of a button or tap of a screen. We chose the MuchLoved platform to power our new online Funeral Notice and Donations service as it fully integrates into our new website providing an appropriate space to share memories as well as rich functionality with the ability for families to upload multiple photographs and videos of their loved one, add a thought, life story or memory and light a virtual candle.
This is in addition to the ability for in-memory donations to be made to multiple charities of the family's choosing. We felt that the ability to allow monies to be donated right down to a singular ward of a local hospital as opposed to a large scale organisation, coupled with the fact that MuchLoved offer the lowest cost donation processing for our clients underpins our own values as a community focused ethical business. We have already seen hundreds of tributes for clients posted and over £20,000 raised for charities within just a few weeks of launching!"
